Skilling Women, Building Livelihoods

As part of its ongoing commitment to women empowerment and skill development, Sampurna successfully organized a Soap-Making Workshop for its members and Self Help Group (SHG) participants. The workshop aimed to equip women with practical knowledge and hands-on training in the art of soap making, enabling them to explore opportunities for self-employment and small-scale entrepreneurship. Participants were introduced to the basics of soap formulation, selection of ingredients, fragrance blending, and safe production techniques, with emphasis also laid on creating eco-friendly and skin-safe products using natural ingredients. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with women actively engaging in the learning process and showcasing creativity in designing and customizing soaps. The interactive format of the workshop allowed participants to clarify doubts and gain confidence in producing market-ready products. Through this initiative, Sampurna not only promoted skill enhancement but also encouraged financial independence among women, serving as a stepping stone towards building sustainable livelihood opportunities and fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship within the community. Participants expressed keen interest in advanced training sessions and appreciated the initiative as a valuable learning experience.
