Dr Shobha Vijender is social worker fighting for women’s right for more than three decades. Her parents have had a major impact on her life. Her father instilled social conscience, while her mother taught her to be independent minded. She did her Bachelors in Economics from Delhi University; Masters in Social Work from Jamia Milia Islamia and PhD from Agra University. Dr. Vijender has dedicated her life to empowering women and children across India and has authored many well-known publications. Some of the causes closest to her heart include ending violence against women and children, women safety in public places, better sanitation facilities for women and children.
